3-16 Voluntary Aided Catholic School – Site Consultation 2022 PDF 588 KB To consider report of the Chief Officer Education Additional documents:
Minutes: Councillor L Mytton referred the Council to the ‘3-16 Voluntary Aided Catholic School – Site Consultation 2022’ report and moved the recommendation as detailed in Paragraph 2.1 of the report.
Questions were then raised by the Members on the report and were responded to in detail by the Officers.
Comments were also made by the Members in relation to the report.
Resolved that:
The location of the new 3-16 Voluntary Aided School on the current Bishop Hedley RC High School site, with school sports pitch provided on Plateau 2 of the Buttercup Fields be approved. |

To deal with any other urgent business or correspondence Minutes: Estyn Report
Councillor L Mytton Leader of the Council referred to the recently published Estyn Report in relation to Educational Services.
The Leader then conveyed her thanks to the Chief Education Officer and her team, Councillor H R Jones Scrutiny Chair and everybody’s hard work in bringing about this positive Estyn Report.
Statutory Improvement and Assurance Board
Councillor L Mytton referred to the announcement made in conjunction with Rebecca Evans MS Minister for Finance and Local Government that the Assurance Board was stepping down with effect from 31 March 2022 with the last Board Meeting having taken place.
Councillor Mytton also thanked the Cabinet Members, Councillors K O’Neill, D Roberts, C Jones and J Amos for their support in Meetings held over this period of time.
Councillor L Mytton also thanked all the Officers involved to bring about this stepping down of the Assurance Board. |
