Members are reminded of their personal responsibility to declare any personal and prejudicial interest in respect of matters contained in this agenda in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government and Finance Act 1992 relating to Council Tax, the Local Government Act 2000, the Council’s Constitution and the Members Code of Conduct
(a) Members are reminded that they must identify the item number and subject matter that their interest relates to and signify the nature of the personal interest and
(b) Where Members withdraw from a Meeting as a consequence of the disclosure of a prejudicial interest they must notify the Chair when they leave
No Declarations of Interest were made.
The Committee agreed that Item 4 – Any Other Business Deemed Urgent by the Chair be taken as the next item.
To consider report of the Interim Chief Executive
Councillor L Mytton led the Committee through the ‘Corporate Joint Committee Consultation report’ and moved the recommendation as outlined at Paragraph 2.1 of the report together with the addition of the response letter to Welsh Government.
After consideration by the Committee it was
(a) The inclusion of Councillor views in the Draft Response to the Consultation on Corporate Joint Committees (Appendix 1) and submission on behalf of Council be approved
(b) That the response letter presented to Cabinet on behalf of all the Council be approved and added to the submission in response to the document to Welsh Government

Letter to Welsh Government – Re Consultation – Corporate Joint Committees
Carys Kennedy referred to the correspondence to be considered prior to Item 3 on the agenda.
Ellis Cooper then referred the Committee to the letter that had been drafted to Welsh Government in relation to the Consultation – Corporate Joint Committees that had been signed by Councillor K O’Neill Leader and Councillor D Roberts Opposition Leader.
Ellis Cooper then read out the content of the letter in full to the Committee.
Carys Kennedy then advised that the Committee had to consider if this letter was to be submitted as a cross party formal response in addition to the appendix as contained within the report at Item 3 on the agenda to Welsh Government.
The Committee then agreed that the addition of this letter be an additional recommendation to the recommendation as contained within the report at Item 3 of the agenda.
