2.1 A new fee of £255 for a re-rating inspection commencing from 1st October 2024, be approved. 

 

2.2 The giving of delegated authority to the Head of Public Protection to review and amend, if necessary, re-rating inspection changes in line with recommendations from the All Wales Food Safety Technical Panel, be approved.

The Chair noted that this was the last Cabinet Meeting as an Independent Group and invited Cabinet Members to address the Committee.

 

Councillors A Barry, D Hughes and M Symonds expressed how it’s been a great privilege to serve the residents and communities of Merthyr Tydfil, highlighting the work done during their time as Cabinet Members. 

 

Councillors A Barry, D Hughes and M Symonds continued by thanking their families, Officers and Members of Staff for their support.

 

The Chair then thanked Councillors M Jones and J Jenkins for their work as Cabinet Members.

 

The Chair proceeded to thank all officers and staff at Merthyr Council and the schools                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            and thanked the residents of Merthyr Tydfil for their support.
