Minutes: Change of use from Council depot to transport depot. Erection of new industrial unit, office building and canopy to existing building with associated hardstanding and engineering works.
RESOLVED that:
In accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Town Planning, the Planning Application be refused for the reason outlined in the report. |

P/15/0130 - Linde Industrial Park, Pentrebach, Merthyr Tydfil PDF 223 KB To consider a report of the Corporate Director (Place and Transformation). Minutes: Construction of vehicular test facility to be used ancillary to the existing industrial use. Demolition of high bay buildings, erection of lighting columns and associated works.
The Group Leader Development Control pointed out that revised plans had been submitted after the committee report had been published. The changes related to an increase in height of the lighting columns by 1 metre and changes to the size of the proposed test ramp. He concluded that the revisions were considered acceptable and would not change the recommendation highlighted on page 26 of the report.
The Group Leader Development Control also pointed out that a late letter had been received from Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust (GGAT). GGAT requested a condition be imposed on any permission that secured a written scheme of archaeological investigation. He pointed out that if the Committee were minded to approve the application such a condition should be attached to the permission.
RESOLVED that:
In accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Town Planning, the Planning Application be approved subject to the conditions outlined in the report and an additional condition, as set out below:
· No development shall take place until the applicant, or their agents or successors in title, has secured the implementation of a programme of archaeological work in accordance with a written scheme of investigation which has been submitted by the applicant and approved in writing by the local planning authority. |
