Members of the Planning and Regulatory Committee are reminded of their personal responsibility to declare any personal and prejudicial interest in respect of matters contained in this agenda in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act 2000, the Council’s Constitution and the Members Code of Conduct.

b.            Where Members withdraw from a meeting as a consequence of the disclosure of a prejudicial interest they must notify the Chair when they leave.

Councillor E Galsworthy declared his interest in Item 3 and Item 5 - P15/0254 as he is a co-opted member of Bedlinog Community Council.

Councillor Galsworthy left the meeting for Item 3 and Item 5 to be discussed in his absence.

The minutes of the Planning and Regulatory Fact Finding Visit held on Friday 26 February 2016 – Land to the south west of Bryn Rhedyn and to the north of Nant Y Fedw Farm, Bedlinog be accepted as a correct record.  

Councillor Galsworthy returned to the meeting for Item 4 and Item 6 to be discussed.

The minutes of the Planning and Regulatory Fact Finding Visit held on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 – Land to the rear of No.9-15 Newton Street, Abercanaid, Merthyr Tydfil be accepted as a correct record.

Planning Officer David Cross led the committee through the report.

Resolved that:

In accordance with the recommendation of the Head of Planning the Planning Application be refused for the reasons outlined in the report.

To consider a report of the Corporate Director (Place and Transformation).
