To consider a report from the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Customer Corporate Services

Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Customer Corporate Services led Standards through the Code of Conduct - Draft Guidance from the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.

He stated that there was a meeting arranged for Friday 22nd January 2010 with the ACSeS who will discuss this matter and if further relevant points are raised they would also be reported back to the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales.

He further stated that in his opinion the above document would require more substantial amendments a there was not actually much guidance within the draft document and much of it followed the English Code which is not relevant in Wales.

Examples of where more information or clarification could be given were provided by members.

RESOLVED that

The Deputy Chief Executive and director of Customer Corporate Services provides such comments to the PSOfW as were discussed and provided at the meeting together with raising any other relevant issues that may arise from the ACSeS meeting on the 22nd January 2010.
