To consider a report of the Director of Customer Services.

Minutes:

In attendance:  Councillor Lisa Mytton, Ward Member.

The Chair formally opened the meeting and outlined the process in which the meeting would be conducted.

David Cross referred Members to the application for the erection of 19 dwellings at the site and that the application site lies within the settlement boundary as defined by the Local Development Plan proposals.

He outlined the main issues in relation to the objections received, which are: the potential loss of light and privacy to current residents; the condition of existing highway and; the existing drainage problems.

Members then asked questions in relation to the following:

·         Current water drainage problems and whether the erection of additional 19 dwellings would increase the problem.

·         Condition of current access roads and would works be carried out to improve these roads.

·         Proposed access roads to the new development.

·         Privacy of current residents.

·         Planting of trees to provide a softer boundary treatment.  Concern with regard to how these trees would be maintained in future years.

Councillor Lisa Mytton made representation to re-affirm concerns expressed by residents.

David Cross, Huw Roberts, Gerald Coughlan and Kevin Davies answered in detail the questions raised by the Members of the Committee.
