To consider report of the Deputy Chief Executive
The Chair formally opened the meeting and referred to the Council’s Constitution whereby the public in attendance are unable to address the Committee.
Caroline Pulley, the Council’s Planning Officer referred to the planning application and provided an explanation of the layout of the site plan.
The following questions were raised by the Committee and answered in detail by the Town Planning and Highways officers in attendance.
· Parking and where they would be in relation to the site.
· Reasons for letters of objection
· Were these going to be social housing
· Positioning/overlooking of windows
· Why flats and not houses
· Position and maintenance of public sewers
· Culvert structure
· Embankment wall
· How will Japanese knotweed be monitored
· Traffic issues
· Will there be street lighting
· Where should resident’s complaints be directed
· Highway adoption
· Hours of work
· Tree Preservation Orders
· Will trees that are being removed be replaced
Any other business deemed urgent by the Chair
The Chair thanked the Officers and Councillors for their attendance and advised that there was no other business deemed urgent and closed the meeting.
