Private Hire Vehicle Licence – Evan J Shepherd

 

The Chair welcomed Mr Shepherd to the Meeting.

 

Simon Jones then outlined the procedure for the hearing and the considerations that had to be made by the Committee.

 

Aneurin Hughes then led the Committee in detail through the ‘Private Hire Vehicle Licence’ report.

 

Mr Shepherd then made his submissions to the Committee in relation to his application for:

 

·         Registration of a Mercedes Benz Vito as a Private Hire Vehicle (YR17AOE)

·         Waiving of the Condition in relation to the Door Stickers that must be applied to every Licensed Private Hire Vehicle

 

Questions were then raised by the Committee on the submissions made by Mr Shepherd and were responded to by Mr Shepherd and the Officers.

 

The Chair then thanked Mr Shepherd for attending.

 

Resolved that:

 

The submissions made by Mr Shepherd and the information received by the Committee be referred to the Planning, Regulatory and Licensing Committee for their consideration and determination in whether to Grant the Private Hire Vehicle Licence and whether to waive Condition 6.4 of the Private Hire Vehicle Conditions.

Resolved that:

 

The public be excluded from the Meeting on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 12 and 13 under Part 4 of Schedule 12A Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972.

A Formal Warning be issued to (GJW) – Hackney Carriage Driver Licence holder.
