Minutes:

The Chair welcomed Dorothy Haines Chief Officer Learning to the Meeting.

 

The Chair referred the Committee to the ‘Developing the Scrutiny Work Programme for 2017/ 2018’ report and invited suggestions for the Work Programme from the Committee and the Chief Officer.

 

The following areas were then suggested:

 

·         Before and after ESTYN Monitoring

·         Self Evaluation Framework

·         Continuation of School visits or inviting School Heads to Committee

·         Standards and Performance in Schools

·         Wellbeing

·         Transition from Primary to Secondary School

·         Transfer of pupils out of the County Borough to other Schools

 

Resolved that:

 

The contents of the report be noted and the Committee commences the development of its Work Programme for 2017/18.

Councillor K Gibbs left the Meeting at 4.49 pm.

 

Alan Rees and Anne Roberts Co-opted Members left the Meeting at 5.05 pm.
