Concerns raised regarding safeguarding those in home education, support provided by S.Walker.

 

Chair extends appreciation regarding the improvement in primary school attendance.

Concerns raised regarding how Welsh can be promoted as a second language when facing resistance from UNISON. S.Walker provides explanation that no officer shall be at detriment of promotion without Welsh as a second language and that the promotion of the Welsh language shall continue.

 

Questions raised as to when a Welsh secondary school shall be available. S.Walker offers explanation regarding feasibility and cooperation with RCT.

 

Matter raised that many parents are reluctant to send children to a Welsh medium school due to not being able to assist with homework. S.Walker offers to include family learning within action plan.
