To consider report of the Chief Officer Neighbourhood Services
The Traffic Engineer referred to the objections received to the recently advertised Traffic Regulation Order relating to the proposed introduction of Traffic Regulations at Cardiff Road, Quakers Yard, and advised members that the proposals involved a combination of limited waiting parking provision and no waiting at any time prohibition.
Questions were asked by the Committee and answered by the appropriate Officers in relation to the following:
· Number of car parking spaces available.
· Time limits proposed on the designated parking areas.
· The possibility of additional parking in the area.
The objections received to the advertised Order be noted but discounted on traffic management and road safety grounds so as to allow the making of the Order as intended.
It was also RESOLVED that:
Arrangements be made for the Chair to meet with the Traffic Engineer on site to explore additional parking in the area under another Traffic Regulation Order if required.
Any other business deemed urgent by the Chair
The Chair advised there was no business deemed urgent.
